How do I search for a ride?

Go to the homepage or the "Find a Ride" page. Select your departure city, destination city, and travel date. Click "Search Rides" to see all available options. You can filter by price, time, and vehicle type.

How do I book a seat?

Once you find a ride you like, click "Book Now". Choose the number of seats, specify your pickup point if needed, and select a payment method. Confirm your booking and you'll receive an SMS confirmation instantly.

What payment methods are accepted?

Book Kar accepts UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit cards, net banking, and cash-to-driver. Online payments are processed securely through RBI-approved gateways.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. You can cancel up to 2 hours before departure for a full refund. Cancellations within 2 hours may incur a small cancellation fee. Last-minute cancellations (under 30 minutes) are non-refundable.

How do I contact my driver?

After booking, you can contact your driver via our in-app masked calling feature. Your real phone numbers remain private. You can also send messages through the app's chat system.

What if the driver doesn't show up?

If the driver doesn't arrive within 15 minutes of the agreed pickup time, you can cancel and receive a full refund. You can also contact our 24/7 support team for immediate assistance.

Is there a luggage limit?

Each driver sets their own luggage policy when listing a ride. You can see the luggage policy on each ride listing. Generally, one medium-sized bag per passenger is standard. Contact the driver directly for oversized items.

How do I register as a driver?

Visit the "Become a Driver" page. Fill in your personal details, upload your Aadhaar, driving license, and vehicle RC. Our team will verify your documents within 24 hours and activate your account.

How do I list a ride?

Log in to your driver dashboard and click "Add New Ride". Enter your route, date, departure time, available seats, and price per seat. Your ride will be visible to riders immediately after listing.

How much should I charge per seat?

You set your own price. We recommend pricing around 40–50% of the equivalent taxi fare to attract riders. For example, Delhi-Lucknow is often priced at ₹500–₹700 per seat. Our app shows suggested prices based on the route.

When do I receive payment?

For online payments, earnings are settled to your registered bank account within 24 hours of trip completion. For cash rides, you collect directly from passengers. There are currently zero platform commissions.

Can I cancel a ride I listed?

Yes, but frequent cancellations will lower your rating and may lead to account suspension. If you must cancel, do so at least 12 hours before departure. Riders will be automatically notified and refunded.

How do I reset my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your registered email or mobile number. You'll receive a reset link via SMS or email valid for 30 minutes.

How do I update my profile?

Log in and go to "My Profile" in your account settings. You can update your name, photo, mobile number, home city, and communication preferences at any time.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm. Once deleted, all your data is removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Pending bookings or payments must be resolved before deletion.
